Transformer winding services design transformers and other magnetics products for application-specific and OEM usage in a variety of industrial, medical, military, aerospace, telecommunications, commercial and specialty applications. Search by Specification | Learn More
Analog resistance meters are instruments that measure electrical resistance. They display values on a dial, usually with a needle or moving pointer. Search by Specification | Learn More
Current sense transformers are used to detect and measure current. There are two basic types of products: switch-mode transformers for power conversion applications, and precision-measurement transformers for instrumentation applications. Search by Specification | Learn More
Cast coil transformers have windings that are solidly-cast in resin under a vacuum in a mold. This manufacturing process covers the transformer windings in a strong epoxy resin with a high dielectric strength. Learn More
Electrical winding services fabricate custom-wound assemblies for a wide range of applications, including automotive, avionics, motor, transformer, medical instrumentation and power generation applications. Learn More
Power transformers convert power-level voltages from one level or phase configuration to another. They can include features for electrical isolation, power distribution, and control and instrumentation applications. Search by Specification | Learn More
Electrical coil winding machines are used to wind coils for motors, transformers, inductors and chokes. Learn More
Transformer Test Equipment consists of specialized test modules or systems used to test and/or monitor electrical and mechanical parameters of transformers and other related devices. Search by Specification | Learn More
Audio transformers are involved in the transmission of voice or sound signals. They often require wide frequency bandwidth with low distortion and noise suppression. Search by Specification | Learn More
RF transformers transfer energy from one circuit to another by electromagnetic induction. Typically, they are used to increase or decrease voltage as it passes from one side through the other. Search by Specification | Learn More
Gate drive transformers are used to drive high-speed switching devices such as field effect transistors (FET) and insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBT). They are used in applications such as switching power supplies. Search by Specification | Learn More
Signal transformers transfer information from one circuit to another by electromagnetic induction. They are used to increase or decrease the voltage from one side of a power transformer to the other. Search by Specification | Learn More
Switch mode transformers (switching transformers) are used mainly in switching power supplies and DC-DC converters. They provide a storage element for transferring energy from input to output in discrete packets as required in switching power supplies, regulators and converters. Search by Specification | Learn More
Pulse transformers interface a pulse forming network (PFN) and a load. They match the impedance of the load to the PFN in order to maximize power-transfer efficiency. Search by Specification | Learn More
Toroidal transformers typically consist of copper wire wrapped around a cylindrical core. This design prevents the magnetic flux that occurs within the coil from leaking. Search by Specification | Learn More

For more than 45 years Baker Instrument Company, an SKF Group Company has focused on quality control testing of electrical windings. We manufacture fully programmable automated test systems and insulation test instruments. (read more)
The most common winding wire is magnet wire in either its single-end or stranded "Litz" form. The magnet wire coating is generally not sufficient for insulating between winding turns, separate windings, and between the winding and ground as the magnet wire coating can easily be damaged. It is for this reason that additional interleaved insulation is needed. (read more)
Triad designs and manufactures custom coils, inductors and transformers using flat wire. Flat wire winding is well suited for hi-current, hi-frequency applications requiring compact size.
